To date, what I can piece together, is that they partnered with “x1″ to release a beta “yahoo YDS” in 2005 but that the beta expired and no product was released. What I can’t figure is if this was because of Vista and YDS is simply delayed or if Yahoo has ceded the desktop search market to google.
